ctually, it's not hard at all to get 18mpg out of a V8. Don't be an idiot riding the brakes all the time and watch ahead of you to manage your speed well and you can actually get QUITE decent efficiency out of the V8. I should be able to get 20mpg out of it by doing 100% highway driving around...
