You should have loosened the lower control arms bolts instead of using the jack. The reason the jack is used is to overcome the bushings in the lower control arm. What you have now is a preloaded bushing that will destroy itself in short order because it is being asked to "rest" at a position...

Belts could be getting glazed as well as the pulleys getting to smooth from the slipping belts. New belts and some emery cloth on the pulleys is the ultimate fix. You can get "belt dressing" from the auto parts store for a temporary fix.
