Hey Friday, if you haven't already replaced your starter, try shifting your rig into neutral and then turn it over. I have seen the neutral position switch go out before and cause the same symptoms. Hopefully, this will get you back on the road. Best of luck.

Definitely seconding the U-joint idea. Exact same symptoms in my truck, pulled the U-joint and it was completely destroyed, not sure how it held together at all. Good luck.

Good luck. Nothing worse than chasing gremlins in the electric. Sounds like a ground issue with all electrical dying when you turn the ignition to start.

Have you looked into the condition of your "Big 3" wires? Maybe a bad ground?

Sounds to me like your neutral safety switch is going out. Next time these symptoms are happening, shift the truck into neutral, then try to turn the truck over. Hope this helps.

Random solution. This might seem like a strange solution, but try putting the truck into Neutral and then try to crank it.
