Mine does the same thing. and for the record, it's not just the 4runners. I had a 2013 Tundra that did the same thing andmy wife's 14' odyssey does something similar. Get used to because all of the auto's will be doing weird things as the EPA cracks down on auto makers.

I agree. I like the baja flat utility rack as well. But, in the spirit of my history/experience with Gobi, and peer pressure, I pulled the trigger on the Gobi stealth through the Spring 15 Group Buy.

No I am not interested in a wooden rack or pvc pipe contraption. Just interested in the lightest strongest gear possible and thought it was worth a discussion. I do appreciate the feed back though. Thanks.
