Swapped out the spark plugs, wires and ignition coils.

I have what sounds like the same issue on my 96 3.4 4wd SR5. Going to swap out the plugs, wires, coils and maybe the front O2 sensor tonight/this weekend and will report back.

This is great. I'm having the same issue. After driving, I'll put it in park, and it idle at around 2000-2100. Also, whenever I let off the break while in drive, it will increase in speed like I'm on the gas. The check engine light just came on as well and I'm noticing a heavy exhaust smell...
