That's good to know. Initial reports seemed like they were pretty stiff. I'm not sure I'm hearing enough to warrant spending time and money upgrading from my Sonoran Steel setup. I'm still open to hearing any further opinions.

I appreciate the feedback. My 4Runner is on the lighter side and I'd like something a little softer than what I have but can rally when needed.

I have the original Sonoran Steel 7.1 lift on my 2000 4Runner, that I bought way back in 2005 (holy crap, 21 years ago)! The original kit came with Tokico shocks, which I still have on the rear, but I upgraded to the front to Bilstein 5100s circa 2013. Front coils are Tundra TRD progressives...

For the past year I have researched and driven other vehicles to potentially replace my 3rd gen, but I have come to the conclusion that I don't like any of them as much as the 3G. A 3 year old GX460 came closest to replacing it, but at the end of the day the GX doesn't feel special, the V8/auto...

There are variations of that flap too...I saw this one on a 01/02 4Runner, which was a different color and had a wiring pigtail coming out of it. Of course the flapper door was broken on it too.

Got home from my last outing and noticed the rear cargo area of the 4Runner was absolutely covered in dust, mainly on the driver's side. I was aware of the presence of an air vent behind the bumper that allows air to escape when you close a door or use the HVAC, so I became suspect of that...

Next year will be 20 years with this amazing vehicle.
