My expierience with dealers have been quite similar. They try to suck the last dollar out of your wallet and they usually botch the job. Complain, complain, complain hopefully you will get their attention.:mad:

Just curious since I own a 98 4Runner, it seems like low mileage to have a clogged radiator, did you ever flush out the system and replace the anti-freeze? I have done mine a couple of times and the fluid seems clean.:confused:

My daily ride is a 98 4Runner which I love to drive and our 2nd car (my wifes) is a 02 Avalon which I love to drive. I guess I'm just a Toyota nut.:D

I have a 98 4 Runner and the only thing I could find in the maint manual is to change the timing belt every 90,000 mile under severe service like a taxi or commercial duty. I can't find a service interval for normal service. So maybe someone can help both of us.

Re: Re: oil changes I guess what I'm saying is that for 25 or 30 bucks every 4 months or so is a very small amount to pay to protect something that is so expensive. I do my own maintenance and use M1 and toyota filters. It is probably overkill but thats just me.

oil changes I just feel that after spending almost 30 g for my toyota an oil change every 3000 miles makes good sense
