Tried searching but can't find this specific answer. Thieves decided to cut the hose on my 02 and steal the gas. I managed to remove the hose from the top filler tube, but can't get it off the gas tank. I have one hose clamp loosened but the tube still won't budge. Is there something else...

That's it, I tried to give this site another chance, but now I see its useless. Enjoy worrying about ridiculous things and giving advice where none was asked for or needed.

But 01 and 02 still do have a physical connection which provides some ability to drive even after failure of the DBW system. I would say if the software was going to go haywire it would have happened within 11 -12 years. I feel 100% comfortable driving my 02.

That's what I used back in early 2010, actually paid $71 each for them, I also used the Raybestos RC11550 loaded calipers, both from Amazon. I have been extremely happy with them, done about 40k since then and they still feel same as ever, never had to turn them and still on the original pads...

I would say if she lies and you can't prove your story you will probably be found at fault. Worse part is you may be on the hook for her repair as well. Were there any witnesses who would say they saw her in reverse, could be your only chance.

The 3rz is arguably just as reliable and bullet proof as your 5vz. I owned 3 2.7 trucks before getting a 3.4 and I never had an issue with any of them. It is not as powerful, but the lower weight of the pre-runner and any gearing difference will partly make up for it, plus they get a bit better...
