ya what a sick joke today. i called toyota dealer in town originally on wednesday to do the drain and fill and they said they were going to hook it up to those machines that heat the fluid then blast it through or whatever. i told him i was going to look somewhere else perhaps for another...

So I called this morning and mentioned the nss, and they said they would check everything out today. They just called back saying that they took everything apart (pan screen etc), even removed the nss and cleaned it a little. There wasn't any corrosion. After taking it all apart they realized...

ya that was a good read thanks for that. i brought it to a local transmission shop so im assuming they know what they're doing although im sure they're used to working on more heavy machinery. i've only ever had the fluid that toyota sells in the vehicle. i really doubt the whole system...

ok well this is not good now, althought hopefully its just the nss. so complete history bought vehicle @ 55,000 kms drain + fill 3 litres trans fluid @ toyota dealership @ 75,000kms drain and refill all 12 or so litres trans fluid by friend mechanic @ 100,000kms (fluid very black was noted)...

So i brought it too the tranny shop in town, told them the light thing and the temp and that i needed a full flush and service. They dropped the pan, cleaned the screen and ended up only having to put 5 litres of fresh fluid it apparently didn't look that bad at all. 375$ bill. Was worth it...

Plasti dip, applied myself, took a total of 7 gallons. Camo green body / black rims. Had it over 6 months now so it is all scratched to shit already but with the matte finish it hides the scratches well still looks amazing cleaned and sprayed with the dip coat

So today i got ran off the logging road by a truck, which is fine they have the right of way but because of the snow/ice i got sucked into the ditch on the side of the road. Now i was pretty effed at this point, luckily it was road/ditch/rockwall so my 4runner was literally on a 45 degree angle...

Tires are hit or miss in terms of quality, some times you just get a bad batch regardless of price. Id recommend something 10 ply tho if you drive alot of dirt roads. I jave duratrac wranglers on my runner they do the job

Ya its crazy out there right now. Bought my 15 runner 3 years ago and to be honest it might be worth what i paid lol
