I tried this. the 3.5 kickers I bought at Fry's (for 31$) were too deep. I would have to cut into what ever is below the speaker mounting hole. They would not fit in the stock mounting bracket either. The speaker holes were just a bit to wide. Found this out after making my own wire harness...
