    Broken again..

If this is the case and I replace the spark plugs could I get a front o2 sensor and put it where the rear one is now and it be ok? That actually makes sense because the code I'm getting is po170. I just watched a few videos of cars with bad spark plugs and that's exactly what my 4runner is doing.

    Broken again..

I can't hear much of anything over the dinging it does when I turn it to on. I'll have her check when she gets home since I'm hard of hearing anyway. The truck starts up just fine with no hesitation and it is idling just fine. When I put it in drive it will roll along just fine it just gets...

    Broken again..

First my u-joints broke, then my cat was stolen, now I need help once again. The wife was driving home from work at about 40-45 and said she suddenly started slowing down. She sputtered home and I went out to check it out. Driving around the parking lot once the truck gets to where it should...

I'm sure it is. I have not had a chance to put anything on it to seal it up better. I'll do that tomorrow. I happen to have some exhaust joint and crack sealer so hopefully that'll fix it.

Well I got the straight pipe on and wired the rear o2 to the front plug. It's still pretty loud, but not as bad as before. Everything seems ok so far besides the P0171 code. Is that code because of the o2 sensor?

That's what I'm doing when the stuff gets here today. I'm mostly just trying to figure out the whole O2 sensor thing now since they cut my front one off and left the rear one. Trying to figure out the exact gauge right now so I can see if I have any around the house.

Advance Auto Parts is the only place I could find with a close enough length of pipe to work. Since I'm missing almost 30 inches of pipe. Most places only sold 18 inch pieces or 10+ foot. Advance Auto had a 6 foot one so I'll have to cut it, but it's the best I could find for the price. The 6...

Ah it's fine. I finally found one and just ordered it. Just need to wait until it gets here and I'll pop it on and try soldering the o2 sensor to a longer cable.

I can't seem to find anywhere that has the size and length I need. The OD of the pipe is 2-1/4 and I've seen some that are 2-1/2, but I can't find one long enough. I have 27inchs of pipe missing so I need at least 30inches or so to be safe. I'm looking for flexible ones, but nobody seems to have...

mikebontoft: Any idea what gauge wire the o2 sensors are? I looked at it and it's pretty thick. I'm not very good at soldering, but I'll give it a go.

    1) Will it work without issues? 2) Since my front o2 sensor is gone now should I figure out a way to move the rear one to the front and if so do you know of any easy ways to do so? 3) Will clamps hold up until I can get it welded without breaking anything else? Those are my basic concerns...

They'd probably assume you just did it to keep them from stealing themselves some precious metals. Either of you know anything about running a straight pipe with no cat?

Anyone know if there's a way I could run a straight pipe for now and still be able to put in a new front o2 sensor without cutting and welding? I can't seem to find a piece of pipe with the cutout for the sensor already in it. I know clamps are not a great idea, but that would be the...

I looked but I can't find anything for OKC on their site.

Yeah that's what it's called thanks. It might be cut at too much of an angle to use. Won't be sure until I get a pipe. What diameter pipe did you get? I might have someone willing to weld it for free I just need to wait until payday to get the stuff. I hope it's not too loud. Last thing I need...
