Alright, pulled the code. P0770 indeed. Shift Solenoid ‘E’. What’s the most likely problem? Crossing my fingers it’s not gonna need a whole transmission.

Gonna go pull the code this morning and I’ll report back. In the winter, on cold mornings the truck would make a high pitched whine/whistle and rev to about 2100 before it shifted into 3rd (I think it was third). Could this be another sign of torque converter?

Did you ever get a fix to this? Dealing with this issue of revving in 3rd after climbing a mountain pass. Got a CEL as well. Haven’t scanned yet
