This is what I did [plastidip]. Left the wheels on, stuck index cards in front of the tire behind the rim; done in a 1/2 hr. I think I did it in 2 cans. Just hold the can about 8-10 in away so you get an even coat. I'm actually thinking about going over the chrome bumpers with the stuff.

oooeee. I paid 4K for my 96 Limited (North of Chicago), not that I am any standard by which to be measured, but the absence of rust in the midwest is KEY. If you work @ the Stealership make 'em eat the tax & doc fees & GET IT!!! If you have access to dealership mechanics that is GOLDEN, too.

After much research... Ignitions are generally made with the wafer tumbler system and Toyota decided to get EXTRA complex and devise a split wafer system. (single on the left, split on the right in photo). So I don't know if the worn-down key is the chicken or the egg, but the split wafers get...

I thought there was a burnt metal type smell after kicking it into 4WL, but that might have been from trying to shift while rolling... I should dive into the repair manual before asking stupid questions, but the 2K pg repair manual is a bit daunting

Dried out I just bought a used 1996 Limited and I'm not sure if 4Wd was EVER engaged... I don't want to run 4wd to lubricate if this thing has been bone dry for 10 yrs, ALL suggestions are welcome as this is my 1st truck

I don't know Jack What's a sidestep?? -I want to paint my rims, but I'm getting mixed answers as to if its safe to use 4 Jack-Stands to hold the whole truck up in order to remove all 4 wheels at once...
