Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

I saw this on YouTube. I think he may be right about the new 4Runner having a turbo. The new Tundra looks like it is going with a turbo. Personally, I think 2023 may be the right guess for a new version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xV9Fw4RAqA

    3rd VS 4th Gen

The extra cargo space is more noticeable with the back seat up. The third generation is more narrower, but it has more depth. When my son was little, I could put a stroller in the 3rd and could not in the fourth. With the seats down, to me it becomes less obvious. So, yes you can get more in...

    5th Gen T4R Picture Gallery

I posted this in the White 4Runner thread, but I broke down and got a 5th generation 4Runner. I am giving my 4th gen with 196,000 miles to my son and we will sell the 3rd gen. with 242,000 miles on it. Here is a picture from the dealer. It is a 2018 model with 5,970 miles on it.

I notice this when I got home. Do you think I have problem with White 4Runners. (Actually my son drives the third generation, he will move up to the fourth gen and I will sell the 2001. Cool picture though.)

I broke down waiting for a 6th generation 4Runner and I bought another WHITE 4Runner. Now I have three white 4Runners. It is an used 2018 with 5,970 miles on it.

    3rd VS 4th Gen

Both of my 4Runners are getting old. My son has the 3rd generation and I am thinking of replacing my 4Runner probably next year. I offered my son the 4th generation when I get a new 4Runner and he politely, but firmly said no thanks, I'll stick with the 3rd. He may change his mind when I buy...

    What's the point of 2WD?

Yes, I can see the appeal of a Highlander. With my 2 4Runners I use them for camping and towing. I have towed a pop-up camper, 19 foot center console boat, 24 foot pontoon boat, 5' X 10' trailer. I have also towed a bigger boat over 5,000 pounds for a friend. After using the enclosed 5 X 10...

    3rd VS 4th Gen

My 3rd generation came with a stock radio / CD player / cassette player. Yes, a cassette player. Not sure if mine works since I no longer have cassettes. But, hey, if your a cassette freak, the third generation 4Runner is for you.:frisky:

are 4th gen as good as 3rd gen?

I agree with your assessment, but lets face it, the newest 3rd generation is now 15 years old and the oldest ones are now 21 years old. they are getting a little long in the tooth, so to speak. I would judge these 4 Runners by the shape they are in and not by the year.

are 4th gen as good as 3rd gen?

I have had both generations now for many years and I keep exact records, including mileage. The third generation can get better mileage on the highway, but overall the 4th generation with the V6 gets better mileage overall, .46 miles to the gallon, over the long haul. My son now has the 3rd...

How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

I just put in a new head gasket and new shocks on my 2001, I spent $1,400 which is more then what you paid for your car. It started to leak about a year ago and I figured I should have it done. You will enjoy your vehicle, I sure do.

    NEW TIRE: Michelin LTX M/S-2

Boy, I do like these tires. On the 2001, my son has it now and he got new LTX after the first LTX's went 82,000 miles. The car has a lot more miles on it then and now. He now has around 222,000 miles on it and about 45,000 on the newer LTX's. The tires are dong fine. As far as the 2004, I...

    NEW TIRE: Michelin LTX M/S-2

My 2001 got new LTX after 82,000. I put some on the 2004 and I have 84,000 with 3/16" tread and the tire company from Georgia said I need to replace them. I found out that the LTX M/S2 now have a new rubber compound. They have some old tires, but they recommended the new tires, just in case I...
