Yep, Jason and the guys at RSG know their stuff! I had them do my 5100's last Friday, and spent a lot of time drooling at all the lifted 4Runners and FJ's in the parking lot. One guy even has a lifted GX on 37's. Look forward to seeing how the SAS goes!
The idea of them is great, and I have them on my '89 YJ with no carpet. On a $40k 4Runner, with a metric crap ton of electronics, carpet, etc... That's the useless I was referring to.

Instead of mounting the foot to the channel, I used rivet nuts into the roof itself.
I like having the canoe centered on the vehicle as much as possible, so I attached permanent Thule crossbar mounts on my roof. Works great! the crossbars are removable and all you are left with are little footings when not in use.
Just to clarify, we mean shift the transmission into N, not the transfer case. Once the transmission is in N, then the transfer case can be shifted into 4LO
