Mitts and a toque.

My 2018 Limited was a 5 seater, perfect. Had it written off after hitting a deer. Replacement is a 2020 Limited 7 passenger. I really dislike the 3rd. row, cut down on storage. I have never raised them up and probably never will.

My Land Cruiser was a 1983 BJ 60 drove it for 17 years & 600,000 kms. Before it rusted away.

I use a 5/8" bolt & a locking nut ( stainless ) requires wrenches for removal. Anything can be stolen, all you can do is make it difficult.
