I haven't taken all three trim levels apart, but the only external difference between the three is the plastic trim added to the Trail. I really find it hard to believe the substructure would be different on all three as that would raise manufacturing costs for Toyota, but I suppose it's possible.

I had the Kicker CST20's in my dash (same speaker that comes in the Subaru tweeter upgrade kit with a polymer adapter plate) and recently replaced them with Kicker KS-series 3.5" coax speakers. I'm so much happier with the 3.5" speakers up there... a nice bargain at $50. Same highs as the...

On the early 5th gens the Limited and SR5 look identical.... so it shouldn't be an issue.

Good info. I have almost the exact 4R (SR5, silver, same wheels) and I'm currently running the 5100s at 1.75" and daystar spacers on the rear. Would like just a bit more lift out of the front and figured I would put in new springs if I'm going to go through the trouble of pulling the front...
