Finished welding up and painting a new set of skid plates

Replaced mine at 380000 KM (236000 miles). It failed on me while driving back on the hwy after a wheeling trip. Worth it to just replace it, especially if you use it for a lot of backcountry travels. When it dies, it dies suddenly and will leave you stranded.

Cool. Thanks! It appeared my U Joints were ok when I removed the drive shafts from the diffs recently. But, I didnt drive with only 1 drive shaft connected at a time, so I'll give that a shot

Had a loose bolt that was causing an annoying rattle from my gas tank skid. Fixed that. Also, had a spare transmission fluid cooler kicking around. So, I installed that as a power steering cooler.

Funny you mention the hood struts. I have a pair of Red Line Tuning hi-lift hood struts sitting next to me right now. Going to install them one of these days!

Thanks man! Good to know. I know it's just my OCD kicking in right now. Although the front driver fender flare gaps were more than just manufacturing tolerances. That was just poor manufacturing. Fortunately this is just a trail vehicle

They're a set of the bushwacker flares. They look pretty good, but I wasn't completely happy with the set. It sits slightly off the fender in a couple spots due to it not being cut properly. Most people probably wouldn't notice...but I do :noidea:
