    Agh. Exact same thing just happened to me. Looking around here and the web, this isn't an install issue, it's a design issue. Too many episodes of this.

    I put in a front video by wiring it into the overhead console. The stepdown transformer that normally goes into the cig lighter was rewired (easy soldering) and attached to windshield with 3M industrial 2 sided sticky stuff. Words of advice: don't be a dummy and try to wire the camera charger...
