Guess I need to update my info...

Nice ride! What are the specs of lift (if any) and wheels/tires?

    Inv4drZm's Build Thread

Yes, your truck is much too nice to shorten the frame on! My 08' DC is a POS with approx 280k miles. I'd like a shorter truck and my box has a lot of rust holes from the crap plastic liner that was in it. I'd like to do a 2.5 gen swap on it (with the shorter 5.5' box) but I'm not sure it'd be...

    Inv4drZm's Build Thread

Are you talking about crew cab builds with the short box or an actual double cab with a shortened frame/5.5' box build? The latter I would like to see...

Up on jacks and running, cannot rotate Right wheels by hand

Most likely a seized caliper. Take the caliper off the brake rotor on the right side and see if you can spin the hub by hand.

Flashing VSC and slip indicator on

I doubt the issue is that brake switch but I have been wrong before.

Flashing VSC and slip indicator on

Those codes sometimes come and go. I would definitely check the RF sensor to see if it's damaged at all or the wiring coming to it from the frame. The variance between the speeds seem to point to that corner. I've spent way too much money on fixing the ABS issues on truck. The LF wiring from...

Flashing VSC and slip indicator on

ABS wheel speed sensor for sure. Like someone already said, get the ABS capable scanner to see which sensor it is.

Sloppy Steering and Vibration at 60+

If the wheels are lug-centric then you need to take it to a shop that can actually do a proper lug-centric balance on the wheels...it's an actual fixture with 6 fingers at 6x139.7 that can properly place it in the holes of the wheel....probably a bad explanation but that's all I got. Look it...

Sloppy Steering and Vibration at 60+

Replace your steering u-joint. Also, you didn't say whether your American Racing wheels are hub-centric or not....this is one of the major reasons why you get vibrations even with brand new wheels and tires.

    Just Curious......

These are the only big brake kits besides Brembo that I know of: CEIKA Custom Big Brake Kit for Lexus GX470 (UZJ120) (02~09) - Ceika Performance RR Racing Front Big Brake Kit for Lexus GX460 GX470 & Toyota 4Runner

Coil Rates: OEM 4runner, OEM FJ, Moog, & Others

ARK_SWAMP_RIDER can you please re-upload that chart for the spring rates if you're still around? :thanks:

    Adding a trailer hitch

Yes. Everything is pre-wired and drilled. If you're towing a travel trailer then I'd buy the V8 hitch which will give you a frame mounted receiver so you can use a weight distributing hitch. This increases the towing capacity to 6900 pounds IIRC (with a brake controller and an external ATF...

The Adventures and Build of my 2007 4Runner!

I'd trace the leak up in the engine bay. It could just be a valve cover leak but the first pic seems like a rear main seal. Dig around to see during the daytime when you have some light to see properly. And great thread, I've just read the entire thing!

    Leveling kit suggestions

I suggest to install a quick strut by KYB in the front and the corresponding rear shock. Look up RockAuto for prices. KYB SR4130 Strut-Plus is what you want. It'll give you a slight increase in height in the front plus it's a all-in-one package with springs/strut/top hat already preassembled...

Seized caliper slowing car down when accelerating

True. I just didn't want to deal with anymore possible failures in the future. I've come to terms with having to do brake flushes on all my vehicles every year now too.....welcome to the rust belt.
