No more vibes I had the same issue on my 2000 SR5 2wd. I changed out the stock steel wheels for a set of 1996 Toyota T100 stock wheels and balanced all 4 tires. No more vibration and I can cruise at 75 or 80, no vibes.

Grill Mod Took the grill off my 2000 4RUNNER and used a small saw and dremel to cut out all the center plastic. Will be putting in mesh grill and TOYOTA emblem sometime next week.

Missing oil Happened to me as well. I purchased a 6 qt box of 5-30W at Walmart (Oil came in box and was in a large plastic bag). I used 5.5 in my guestimation as the container did not have any markings on it. I had to use the remainder of oil to bring it up to specs. Never happened before.

Mileage on my 2000 SR5 2WD 237,667. Recent valve cover gasket, half moons, crankshaft plugs. Only minor issue is minor oil leak from rear main seal.

The new bolts and metal washer/grommets will resolve the loose bolts.

Gaskets Valve cover gaskets. Also cleaned off years of oil and grease from motor, transmission, oil pan and surrounding areas. :biggrin1:

Idling High Fixed My 4runner was leaking oil around the crankshaft moons and half moons so I spent the afternoon changing valve cover gaskets and sealing everything up. Also had high REV even after sea foam so I took throttle body and IAC apart and cleaned them well. The engine was revving...

My 2000 4runner SR5 2wd came with 15 inch wheels. I just picked up a set of 1996 T100 15x7 JJ wheels (4wd version) and am gonna put them on this week, as soon as the shank lug nuts arrive to Oreilleys. Has anyone used this wheel on their 4runner?

I also did the front brakes at the same time.

Thanks to all, I got em installed. Had to get a pry bar from Harbor Freight and it was a piece of cake. I installed the 5100s front and rear on stock springs. I set the fronts on the 2nd tier. I love the ride.

Installed Bilstein 5100s, got an alignment, and then removed the running boards.

See attached pics. I'm using the handle of my 3 ton jack to pry the lower control arm and there is no way it's going to work. I akso loosened the sway bar at the wheel and no go. Maybe have to loisen up outer tie rod? Wondering if I have to adjust the setting on the shock to 1.5 or lower?
