Finding transmission fluid, Pain in the ***

You are asking for trouble changing the fluid. I know it has a big peace of mind value, but that is about all you will gain. The risks are just not worth it.

    Complete seat fabric set

Odd that no one would want them. Seems like a cheap way to freshen up your interior. I don't want to make a killing off of them, but I don't want to waste time pricing them too high.

    Complete seat fabric set

I was cleaning out my garage and ran across my seat covers that I took off my 03 that I removed shortly after buying to replace with leather. Now I am looking to get rid of it, but have no idea what I should ask. It is upper and lower covers plus head rest for both fronts and the 60/40 back...

    Toyota Fabric Source

Try a automotive trim shop. They can special order it.

So this is what the "stealer" did....

Awesome job. You took the cash right out of their greedy little hands. That had to kill them. It is too bad you didn't get what you wanted, but it is nice to hear that you stuck it too them.

Heading to Pep Boys, opinions on first mod...

Pepboys had some real nice refrigerators and paddle boats last time I went by. WTF? Who goes to pepboys to buy that crap? They didn't have my air filter, but they had a big tub of cashews. Good luck with your trip to Pepboys. No telling what kind of mod you will end up with.

    Tire Balance Question

Sorry, I read well, I just don't always comprehend.

    Tire Balance Question

All toyota wheels are hub centric. The shank lug nuts are not machined to close enough tolerance to center the wheel. They do help get it close and the washers allow for movement as the wheel tightens against the hub, but the wheels center on the hub, not the lugs.

    Tire Balance Question

Your wheels are hub centric and can be balanced perfectly using the cone. You can also use the bolt plate adapter, but it is not necessary. Toyotas are sensitive to imbalance. To get it right, they need properly calibrated equipment and someone who knows how to use it.

    Door Dings

I have had two dings on my 4runner. One from me hitting the trash can in the driveway and the other from a jackass at a shopping center. Both were bad and drove me insane. I had both removed by paintless dent removal guys. Both did excellent jobs. I am happy that I didn't get the MDX...

Wait for 06 or Purchase 05?

Always go with the newest model, unless there is something about the older one that you have to have. If you get an 05 now, you are buying a 4runner that is already a year old. As soon as you drive it off the lot it becomes the same age as the ones that were sold 12 months ago.

busted by nj ezpass driving the Runner

It is funny, my friend got the exact same ticket in the same place. It must be set up to catch out of towners. He sent a letter back to them with copies of every toll before and after being paid along with the .35. He got a letter back stating that accepted his justification and he owed...

    Employee pricing - recd invitation!!!!

If you are saying that they don't have an employee purchase program that is offered to the public, that is correct, but they do have and employee purchase price that is invoice + $500. They don't sell a lot of cars to employees, most have lease options as an employee benefit.

Start switching to 87 octane gas.

Do you think it is worth the risk of carbon build up? I say that because I have used both and seen no noticable difference in mileage or performance. Of course everyone drive under different circumstances. I just don't think it is worth the risk of running higher octane fuel if the result...

New tires caused me to hydroplane? 4runner totalled and going to court. Need advice

Hmm, I wonder why Ricky isn't driving for DEI or Penske? Could it be that he can't drive? If there is a truth behind the Michelin video, I would strongly suggest that you contact Michelin and tell them that they are wrong and have it removed. Should I get you the number?
