Re: Re: Switch to neutral when shifting to 4x4? Actually you can switch to 4wd when stationary - most of the time. It doesn't always work, but shift to neutral, then turn the knob to 4wd from 2wd (while stationary). Give it a try.

When I got my tires changed, I noticed that the sensor light was on when I left the shop. I went back and they said there was nothing wrong as far as they could tell. I took it toyota and had them fix it and they gave me the damaged sensor and said it was obviously damaged when they changed...

yeah, I checked the pressure for all tires - even the spare. I have a feeling they broke the sensors. How can I tell for sure - take it Toyota and have them look at it?

I have a 2004 4runner, and had to get 2 tires changed today. When I left the tire place, my tire pressure light was on. I took it back and they couldn't figure out why it was on and gave me some BS story about having to reset the sensors. I told them I didnt' think so and that it was probably...

What don't you understand? I put the orignal sitcky pad in the foldout tray. Then I put my cell phone on top of it. The tray has no traction at all, and the sticky pad fits perfectly in there.

I put my cell phone on the sticky pad. I love this thing. It folds up nicely, and when I unfold it, it doesn't lose it's shape.

I just got a flat tire. It was the rear passenger side. I already have about 20K on all the tires. I am not familiar with how to replace the flat w/ 4wd vehicels; do I buy just one tire, buy two tires or replace them all?

I also have the double decker shelf. If I always have the shelf lowered, will the cargo mat fit, or does it sit funny?

I've never left the back window down, but I have left the sunroof cracked on more than one occasion.

How much are they at the dealer?

It doesn't seem to me, that there is a significant advantage to rotating tires more often than at half of their expected life.

When I have the back window down, and I get on the gas, I can smell a strong sulfur smell. That can't be good for you. I know there is a TSB for it, but my VIN falls slightly out of range, and I don't really trust the toyota dealers. I guess if I turn the pipe out I won't really smell it as much.

Does anybody know why the 4th gen runners have the exhaust pipe go out the back instead of on the side? I hate riding with my back window down because I think carbon monoxide is creeping in my ride....not to mention the sulfur smell. I'm thinking about turning the pipe out to the side.

the sulfur smell exists on the 05s? So I guess Toyota still hasn't remedied the problem.
