    Auto Climate Control Repair Services

PM sent. Mine has been getting really bad lately and it's to the point where I can't do anything with it, it just has a mind of it's own. She just turned 200k so I figured I would get this fixed for her hard work she has put in over the past ten years I've owned her.

    Wade in-channel rain guards

Thanks for the reply. I actually found them on Amazon for $50 shipped and just went with them. I wasn't entirely happy with how I positioned the rears so now I can get it how I want them.

    Wade in-channel rain guards

Hey guys quick question, I currently have the Wade in-channel rain guards installed on my 2000 4Runner. A couple of months ago my truck got sleepy on the trail and decided to take a nap on it's side and I broke the driver front rain guard. I've searched high and low for just a set of fronts but...

How To: Monitor Trans Fluid Temp (and other things) On Your iPhone

This is awesome info guys. Thanks for figuring this out with the trans temp. It's working like a charm on my 00' Limited. I browsed through the thread again and didn't stumble upon a way to monitor fuel level. Am I correct at understanding the 00' Limited does not provide this through ECU feedback?

    Keyless entry problem

Alright so I have tried everything and have ran out of ideas on this keyless entry for my 00' Limited. It all began by the range getting shorter and shorter and it would intermittently not unlock the doors unless I pressed the unlock button multiple times rapidly. Then it just stopped working...

Help! For those of you who regeared to 4.88

Alright so during my setup I was having trouble getting a good tooth pattern on the ring. The original factory shim is .080 and was not even getting me close to where I needed to be. I am now up to .203 and it is looking more favorable. Does anyone forsee an issue with this much space? I found a...

Anyone have experience with g2 gears

I'm currently right in the middle of installing them into my 00' Limited. Initial thoughts on quality are very good. Tech support has been helpful as well. I should have the rear done tonight so I'll report back in a couple of days with how they feel.

Help! For those of you who regeared to 4.88

For the third member you need specialty tools to get the preload on the carrier bearings correct. Everything I have read recommends near 150ft lb. I made some myself in about five minutes that work excellent. I haven't started the front yet but I am going to assume it's not going to be any more...

What different sizes does your average shim kit come with?

Help! For those of you who regeared to 4.88

I am seeing that it is a good idea to leave the crush sleeve out until I get the desired pinion depth, my question here is how tight do I want the nut on the end of the pinion? I'm assuming I'd want the nut tight enough so the pinion doesnt have any play in it.

Help! For those of you who regeared to 4.88

Do you know if the stock shim will allow the pinion depth to be correct or will I have to add or subract some? From what I am reading the stock shim seems to work most of the time but I wanted to see if anyone has a personal experience with it.

Help! For those of you who regeared to 4.88

So i bought some G2 4.88's for my 00' Runner and I am running into a couple of questions. My first question is, What sets the pinion depth? Is it the crush sleeve or the shim in between the large pinion bearing and the pinion itself? If it is the shim, Toyota offers a ton of different choices...

    Need functioning heater!

Mine had the same problem and I found one of the actuators to not be engaging. Turn the truck on, operating temp, pop your hood, and look towards the upper middle area of your firewall. It will have a lever engaged actuator that allows the heater to operate. I forget what position it is suppose...
