No updates on the Yota yet. Been busy. Going to try and get in there this weekend.

The reason I'm suspecting a burnt valve, is because of the throttle body chatter. Something is possibly pressurizing the intake. Which leads me to believe an intake valve. When I had the heads rebuilt, they only replaced one valve. The one they replaced is the intake valve on cylinder number 1...

I'm going to do a compression test on it this weekend. I'm starting to think I have a burnt valve. I guess I should have gone with a pair of new heads, instead of having the old ones rebuilt.

Could this be rod knock possibly?

I just got done dumping way way way too much $$$ in this turd bucket. And out of no where, it started running rough, and doing this weird chattering deal at idle. Any ideas or help please. Transmission shop just called. They said the check engine light was for a bad tps. They said they're going to replace it and see if that fixes it. They did say it would affect shifting exactly how I described it. Looks like you hit the nail on the head.

What color interior and exterior? I may be interested in a few parts.

All I can say at this point, is that you are going to have to put your eye balls on the crank to verify it's all good. It is very possible something is wonky with the crank gear. It's not as much work as you think to get to it. You are going to have to pull the crank pulley to see the crank gear...

This may be a stupid question, but are you jumping E1 and TE1 when you check your timing?

So I think I've decided to do a 4" lift on the 4runner when I do the front suspension and steering work. Might as well right. The kits I've looked at said they will fit a 33x12.50r15, but I think I'm going to just run a 32x11.50r15 to help the 3.slow out a bit. Hope to start on this very soon.
