I simply purchased a small sticker I have on an outside window that states "caution venomous snake carrier". I haven't had a problem so far. I kayak and bike in some remote spots and there have been cars broken in on both sides of me. Maybe i'm just lucky but its working so far

I have the Thule Rapid Crossroad SILVER AeroBlade Roof Rack. The model I have fits 4runners from 2010-15.

I already had crossbars. But no the rack is just a kayak system to attach to your existing bars. It came with attachments for 3 different types of bars.
