chugging at idle and acceleration. Flashing CEL. Misfire help

Appreciate it, thanks! The torn boot was obvious on removal, so I figured that had to be it. I did not know the boots were replaceable, but I also have a road trip this weekend and needed to get it up and running quickly. For anyone who comes across this on google, dont go too deep into the...

chugging at idle and acceleration. Flashing CEL. Misfire help

Road test went well with a new coil! :bounce: On an unrelated note I test drove GX 460 today... man those things are nice

quick update: #5 is easy to get to so I pulled the coil. Boot is cracked about an inch. :high5:

chugging at idle and acceleration. Flashing CEL. Misfire help

P0305 Cyl 5 misfire. My truck is an '07 that has been well maintained its entire life. Most searches lead me to HG? I just changed the plugs a few months back. Perhaps its bad plug? Hoping its that or a coil/injector

Bump. My OBD2 scanner died. New one is showing up today.

chugging at idle and acceleration. Flashing CEL. Misfire help

2007 v6 169k miles 4x4. Motor is all stock. I am the second owner and most of the maintenance history is documented. I took this truck on a 1300 mile road trip just 2 weeks ago. I replaced the plugs (with OEM Denso part #s) about 3 months ago at 167k because I had no history on them. They were...

    Off roading with Bilstein 5100’s?

Huh. I'll have to check mine. They have always ridden fine so I assumed they were doing their job.

    Which wheel spacers for 285/70r17’s?

Keep in mind that if you are rubbing fender, spacers will make the rubbing worse. Wheel spacers only help if you are rubbing on the control arms.

'07 with Billstein 5100s. Not sure where to go from here (lift)

Sunk cost fallacy but I have less than 5k miles on the 5100s =|. I'll run them for a year a few years, and will probably wear them out quickly with the way I've been wheeling lately. Thank you for all of the replies!

Finally Got THE 4th Gen T4R!

Very nice! Mind sharing what you paid? A low mileage V8 4th gen 4WD might just be the perfect 4Runner.

'07 with Billstein 5100s. Not sure where to go from here (lift)

Thank you. If I do the body lift will wheel spacers still be required or will the correct offset aftermarket wheel be enough? I have my eye on these in 16x8 MK6 Off Road Rims by Level 8

'07 with Billstein 5100s. Not sure where to go from here (lift)

I'm good with some trimming and I plan on going with an aftermarket wheel/offset. Is it possible to run 33's without a body lift or wheel spacers? Looking at 3" Toytec front springs (w/ .5" spacer), 2" toytec superflex rears, and SPC UCAs now.

    6th Generation Coming in 2022?

This was me about 2 weeks ago. I bought a 2018 TRD ORP and I just could not get over what a side-grade it was from my 4th gen. Same motor. Same transmission. Same tow capacity. A very lacking Entune system, and the aftermarket options stink (at least the 2020s came with CarPlay). Same poor MPG...

PSA: Check if your cabin AC sensors are dirty

I'm a bit confused. Can anyone take a picture of which two 10mm bolts need to be removed? It looks like the trim ring around the ignition switch is removed in OP's pics as well. Thank you!
