Well, the time came & sold the 4Runner. I enjoyed having the truck. It has been the best vehicle I've owned so far. It has taken me through some awesome road trips never had issues. BC, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, California & Arizona. I'm gonna miss that V8 grunt!

Long term review on this - 3 years as a Daily driver weekend wheeler. The locker was awesome. It started to have a very faint click when on pavement after about 2 years but not really loud enough that it bugged me. If I had to lock another 8" diff, I would go the same one.

It is. The factory manifolds are cast iron with very short runners absorbing the noise. I don't have DT's on my V8 but I had the DT long tube headers on my 2nd gen Taco and it was very noticeable which didn't really bother me.

If you have a lift, definitely not aftermarket jobbers as they will give you vibrations especially in a V8. OEM is always the best, even a used one.

It might not be possible to get 4* caster on 3" lift even with with those upper arms. I do my own alignment in our shop and my caster is set at 3.7* max with SPC arms. I can set the upper balljoint up for more but it tilts the tire towards the rear mount. I remember getting 2* caster only with...

It's actually just some patterned high density foam. It's a prototype for Crusinoffroad from British Columbia. One of only 2 made as they decided to drop the 4Runner lineup.

Im on my 3rd set of 35's now. I do agree w/ the fuel consumption. Its sucks on long trips but Ive got other vehicles. Been toying the idea of 37s since last year but I think the suspension/steering will really suffer since I'd have to crank the coilovers up.

That's pretty cool! I've got smaller nets velcro'd to my trucks headliner. Pretty handy for lighter stuff like paper towels, etc..

I had a 99 limited and now a 4th gen, Everything is way better in a 4th gen. The only thing I would really give a point to a 3rd gen is the manual transfer case shifter but that's just personal preference.

You can use your emergency jack to push the uca down against the wheel well. Is your 6112 assembled right by any chance? The only time I could see your issue happening is if there too much lift going in there.

For on road use, I'd definitely keep the XREAS. I would recommend using FJC coils or spacers. It should be enough for what you need.
