No, it won't crank over. You're right about the gas and I added a couple of gallons of fresh gas before we started trying to get it running as it was almost out of gas when I parked it. I will test the fuses under the hood this weekend. Hopefully one blew while we were trying to jump it off.
It is an automatic and I have made sure it was in PARK. I have done that myself before so I did check that. I believe it may be a fuse or something to do with the security system. I am not sure which fuse could have this effect to the interior electronics in the fuse block under the hood...
