For Tacoma's everyone recommends regearing with that size. Not just for offroading, but for highway power and mpg as well. Not sure the stock gearing on a 4runner, so I am just throwing it out there. As for brakes, do you have any plan for that? Are there better pads that will do the trick, or...

I have 285 Km2s (very heavy) on my Tacoma and love them. It's still fast enough for me, you just have to push on the pedal a little harder. I'm not saying regearing wouldn't make a difference, just that I wouldn't regear for 33s unless you have a burning desire to spend a lot of money.
