    Love the runner but.........

I have a 5th Gen SR5 Premium w/o 3rd row. One 3-1/2 yr old forward facing and a 1 yr old rear facing. There is plenty of room and clearance in the backseat for the car seats we bought. I do wish we had more room for a third person to fit between them or in a 3rd row. But that's what our...

    4Runner to Tundra

Great looking truck! It sure has low miles and looks to be in excellent condition. And that interior color is perfect with the black exterior. I sure miss being in a truck. Been thinking about going back lately, but I know I would miss the 4Runner even more. Now if only I could win the...

Car Washes: Is touch less really that big of a deal?

If you use "touch" washes, you will have swirls on your paint. No way around it. They aren't scratches all the way through the paint and lots of people won't notice. So swirls don't matter to some. But I can't stand them. It makes me cringe when I see one of those mobile trailer wash guys...

    Mini Van opinions wanted

Yeah, we have narrowed it down to Sienna and Ody. Going to drive them both this weekend. I'm already leaning towards the Sienna, just because I'm partial to Toyota. So I need to spend some good time in both when we test them out. I don't want to talk us into a Sienna purely because I love my...

    Is it just Austin?

Same goes for up here in West TX (7 out of 10). But those 7 are Limited's and the rest are SR5s or Trails with minor (like me with only tires and little appearance stuff) to major mods. I would also say the same for Jeep Wranglers, too. But this is a weird area in that there is tons of oil...

    Mini Van opinions wanted

Ouch, not pretty crash test pics on everything but the Odyssey. Love the commando/zombie killer Sienna, but I imagine the MPG would be a little worse than stock..... Exactly the benefits I'm looking for with kids and grandparents in tow.

    Mini Van opinions wanted

I never thought this day would come, but I am actually considering a Mini Van for our family. Not to replace my 4Runner, of course. But for my stay at home wife who does most of the kid hauling. We currently have an older, base model Chevy Traverse. It's been a good car, but it's time to...

    Speaker Replacement Opinions

Did you have any trouble fitting the Alpine 6.5s in the rear doors and back hatch? I installed a set of Polk DB651s in my rear doors this weekend. Crutchfield told me they wouldn't fit, but I gave it a shot since I had the door taken apart for Dynamat anyway. I used the Scosche SAT6 bracket...

    Speaker Replacement Opinions

Yes, Crutchfield has always made excellent suggestions for me over the years. I like to do a review if the product holds up just as they say. This is my first experience with Kicker. But it's been a good one. The speakers were perfect for my needs.

    Speaker Replacement Opinions

I think you will be happy with a powered sub under the passenger seat if you are listening to rock and metal. I didn't need an amp and big sub, either. I've had those in the past, but I need all the space I have now with two kids. My new Kicker 41KSC694 are a big upgrade to the factory...

    Speaker Replacement Opinions

I'm slowly building up to a setup much like you are planning. A few months ago, I added this powered sub: Kenwood KSC-SW11 Compact powered subwoofer at Crutchfield.com. It made a huge difference immediately. Fit under the passenger seat. I do not recommend this if you want to scare small...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed new 6x9s and Dynamat in the front doors over the weekend. Wow, what a difference! It was my first hands-on install. Always had a shop do my audio work in the past. Plan to Dynamat the rear doors this coming weekend.

    Advise with floor liners

WeatherTech for fronts and cargo. Not sure if they make the cargo to fit with a 3rd row seat, though.

    5th Gen For Sale/Wanted Thread

Ok, thanks for the input. That's what I was thinking. I really like those tubular one's that the port/dealers are installing but I'm having trouble locating the brand or part #. They are much better looking/fitting than Westin tubular steps or other brands out there.

    5th Gen For Sale/Wanted Thread

Are these actual Toyota parts or another brand? I read another thread that stated they might be aftermarket installed at the port. Either way they look great. Sit tight to the truck.
