:iagree: I have to confess that there is a dent in the floor board behind the accelerator from trying to push the pedal through the floor.

If I could average 14 mpg with my 2012 Trail, I would be happy. I average 13.6 ... If you plan to lift your 4Runner and put larger, heavier tires on it, do not expect an improvement in mileage.

Meh ... half the people on this site have built more capable rigs. Toyota is trying to soak up the bolt-on aftermarket business, rather than reengineering a complete vehicle or investing in the development of more significant modifications, such as engines, transmissions or a truly redesigned...

I have a Yakima hard box in titanium, which is a pretty good match color-wise for the mag gray. You can see a picture of it in the post, "Another Magnetic Gray TE"

I thought I'd share a couple of photos of my TE, which is pretty far along in my build. I have a CBI rear bumper on order. I am still trying to determine whether I want an aftermarket front bumper or a hidden winch.

I wanted to avoid adjusting the castor. So, I had my body mounts trimmed. With 285 70R17 MT's, I still hit when the suspension is compressed turning right nearly full lock. Turning left is not an issue.
