If the tranny is hot and your engine is running I would just add a little at a time 3 ounces maybe then check level again until you get it up between the two hot reading notches.

I have watched a few videos on this and the level that states cold, you should read when the engine is cold and the level should be between those two notches. Then start and run the engine up to operating temperature and with the engine running check again and it should now read between those...

No problems I bought a 2010, 1st year 5th Gen. 4Runner and I am overjoyed with it. I have 170,000 on it and never had any issues other than the Navigation system going out on me but it was fully covered as it was within my warranty time period. I do think Toyota should have a locking Gas door...

My 2010 4Runner does the same thing only after a heavy rain when parked. I find a puddle on the driver side front. This grommet, can it be replaced? Thank you, Ray
