If it were the bearing would you not also hear the noise when the car is rolling? I only hear it under acceleration.

That speed range sounds right. I don't even know how you would describe the sound. Yours must be in a worse state than mine. Mine will probably get to that point if I can't figure out the problem. I wish some more people would respond. This can't be that uncommon.
