I run the 285 milestars, down to 5-6 psi in the snow. No beadlocks, but use rim glue. Where I wheel we need to float on top of the snow(3-8ft), not cut down to the ground.

I sipe all my MT tires, have for years. Don't seem to notice any cons. I usually just get the centre done. If you do the full width of the tread, the edges might start to tear.

Yah, it is hard to find good trails. Lots of local info usually. Snow wheeling is where the difficulty comes in.

I live in Helena. Rent is probably higher than most. Though if you look in Townsend or Boulder you might find it cheaper. Though you would have to drive 30/45 minutes to get into town. No salt, they use mag chloride. Minimal rust, maybe surface. Weather is pretty decent. Very little...
