I added them from the start. Had them on my 4th gen and wanted the flexibility with alignment specs with the UCAs. I've heard that you don't need them but I didn't want to take that chance.

Looking for OEM roof rack cross bar kit (2 bars) for my 2016 Trail. Anybody have a set they’re trying to get rid of?

I can see reasoning for both but I’m not sure they’re both necessary. Who included this feature during the upgrade?
