thanks team,
i'm going to pass on them. Don't feel confident buying them, and I have a feeling I'm going to regret not saving up a bit more and going for something I know will be good. I'm just worried that he never got the balanced well enough, and is finally tired of them. I'll be stuck with...
Hey team,
I've come across a set of 35x14.5x15 "Ground Hawg" tires. They come with chev 6bolts 10'' and 12''. I'll figure out the fitment, but I've never up sized tires before. He's selling the whole thing for $500, and the place is a 2.5hr drive from me. If these were any other brand, I would...
thanks ryan,
I'm going to go take a picture of mine, you tell me if it looks similar. I have a feeling this was the cause of all my vibrations all together.
Hey Man,
I was wondering if you could help me out. I got under the 4runner today. I noticed that my passenger side upper link was bent, and my driver's side was straight. I have no idea if this is a stock method for some kind of clearance, or I bent it while wheeling or something. I might be...
Guys,
4crawler is pricey when it comes to the panhard drop bracket, especially if you live outside of the states.
They buy the brackets from PROCOMP. This is why the standard 4'' drop bracket is the cheapest, PROCOMP only sells 4'' brackets for their 4'' rear lift springs.
SUMMIT RACING...
Thanks budd! I'm going to look through your build. I haven't touched it yet. I need to go buy fasteners, and its thanksgiving here today, so I'm gonna get em tomorrow.
I'm gonna run through your thread. I'll pm you if anything.
Thanks again!
Thats exactly what I was thinking. Maybe there some kind of hindrance of that sort. I don't think t-case oil has been changed in 25 years, so I'm going to be doing that first thing.
Will update.
i do have ADD. It engages to 4Hi no problem, so the vac lines are fine. If I switch to 4Lo in drive, it wont switch. But if i quickly switch to nuetral without touching the transfercase, and switch the car off and on, it will immediately be in 4LO
Actuator?
yep
hey, yeah exactly.
i just wanted to do just what was needed to lift. what I didn't realize is, the kits do just that. It is exactly what is needed to lift. the cheapest kit you can buy is the rough country, but I see so many rough country mall crawlers that I just didn't want to say I...
Vibes
Hey guys,
So I bit the bullet and set out to find a panhard drop as well as some adjustment for the 4 links in the rear. All the IFS kits have some sort of modifications of the links, probably due to bad angles and vibration.
Rough Country simply uses a shortened upper control arm x2...
Vibrations hopefully going to be fixed.

Fixed
The problem was that the driveshaft slip yoke was absolutely rusted solid. Seems like the previous owner of 24 years never really slipped (pun) it into 4wd. The yoke was rust welded badly in one place, and had rust all around it.
This would have been avoided if he had some knowledge...
not fixed!!
Hey, I do have an automatic, and sadly, the problem is back.
It doesn't switch to low range at all, but switches to 4HI immediately.
BUT if I switch NEUTRAL; turn the car off and on, switch to drive, then I'm in 4Lo.
I never had this issue before. I'm don't have much exp. with...
