Pcv I had some of these same problems and changing the PCV valve helped on these uphill situations. Mine was plugged up and it wouldn't rattle anymore and once replaced the power returned. I also replaced the hose and the grommet as they were worn out.

These Hankook MT's have been on my truck for 3,500 miles now and I like the ride and how they are wearing. Just had them rotated and balanced to make sure and they said they balanced well.

For what it's worth, I had my motor replaced at 120,000 due to a botched oil change by a local Wal-Mart..(couldn't change my own oil at the apartment complex I lived in)...I went with a motor that had 60,000 miles on it out of a wrecked 2002 4Runner and I now have over 200,000 on the body and...

Bought my 2000 in 2004 with 32,000 and 9 years later I have 201,782. Best truck I've ever owned and plan on keeping it forever.
