I had the same problem with my 2000 Limited. Sometimes it made a clicking noise and then other times it would start. I just replaced the starter and never the issue again. I sold it to a friend and they have had no issues with it either in the past 2 years. Good luck!

In the Shop Again!!!! Mine is sitting in the shop again for the 3rd time in a month and a half. :crybaby: The knock sensor in bank 1 is throwing the CEL and I am not able to get full power to the vehicle. So I am changing both knock sensors and the harness, but also getting all the bulbs in...

Just picked up one that looks just like yours, except for the hitch and the brush guard. Mine also had about 193k miles on it, love my 4runner!:bounce:

Mine is in the shop for the second time in 2 weeks getting the timing belt and all the other components that go along with it replaced. Expensive much??? :Cry:

Got mine back in about 2 days. Way better than the 6-7 days that the shop told me if it was the head gaskets.

Just bought a '99 Limited that was a one owner vehicle with 194k, hoping to make it to 300k. :bigok:

Had to spend over $1100 to get the cam plug seals replaced as it was leaking and they thought it was my head gaskets which would have cost over $2400. Glad that it was cheaper but still a little too much to spend less than a week after buying it.:crybaby:
