I assume you mean the volume name. dd with do a byte for byte copy of a device. The data and volume name are identical. I'm still looking around for a slightly larger 16GB or 32GB card to try.

There are ways to modify the factory wiring with a switch to trick the radio that you're not in motion. See here I used this, so I didn't have to cut the factory wiring. I also modified this harness to allow on demand backup camera.
