Understood. I would understand shipping from dealership, to dealership as an added cost, but coming from Japan I'd think it should be shipped directly to your dealership at no cost to you, maybe not...hope you enjoy your Rig....:thumb: :nicethread: Informative

If I'm not mistaken, all 4Runners are still made and shipped from Japan. When I was looking for mine, one was found on a ship just in from Japan on the West Coast. Dealership had it shipped to their facility.

Just had my first extended warranty (Mid Kansas Toyota warranty) work done at 96k miles, replacement of front struts...platinum policy, $0.deductible, everything went well:bravo:, truck drives like new:dancin:.

I can't remember half the materials they mentioned, but they did say back up camera will have to be replaced, among other things. Maybe that's it, shop wasn't interested. I'm in a small town, maybe I should find a reputable shop in a populated area. I'd pay $3 to $5 grand, if it's done...

Thanks, I'll probably travel to my local high-tech shop and see what they have to offer. I really want something that's going to tie into the housing/brackets, and buttons that's already on the console face, but that might be asking too much, I really don't want a botched job. I'll look around.
