I'm having the exact same problem as the video above. I was able to reset the computer by disconnecting the negative battery terminal about 6 months ago but it's not doing the trick this time. I'd rather not throw random parts at the problem if someone has a solution.

I just replaced the XREAS system on a 2005 Sport with KYB Excel G front (strut with spring), and Bilsteins in the rear. About $350 on Amazon and 3 hours with hand tools in the driveway. At 180k miles it was due.

Good observation about the grommet, it stayed on the valve cover when I removed that coil. As I backed out of the driveway for a test ride I noticed something in the driveway... turned out to be a grommet that had fallen off the left side when I wasn't looking. They are all in place now.

Anyone that does the work I don't want to do (timing belt) is a mechanic. He was probably trying to get a few extra bucks for plug install.

Installed new spark plugs. I have no idea why my mechanic and others have said it's difficult - 20 minutes beginning to end includes removing the airbag/filter.

I received a letter from Toyota early in the week and visited my local dealer today. The service writer took 5 seconds to look at the dash and placed the order for a new one. He told me 2-3 weeks to receive the part.

Installed a new gas cap, which fixed the "Check engine" and "VSC/TRAC" idiot light CEL. Thank to the forum for saving me lots of money and time!

I just bought a used 05 Sport and the TPMS light was on. After checking the pressure in all 5 tires it was still on, so I followed the OP directions and took care of the problem. 10 minutes start to finish. Next up is replacing the LED bulbs in the multi-display. Thank you!
