I wouldn't just throw parts or suggest quick fixes to get rid of the code. The P0420 code is merely a symptom that truck is experiencing, and isn't telling you the root cause. I'm no mechanic, but know many people that are, and their advice regarding this code has always been to diagnose from...

I used the Magnaflow direct fits. Both come with a 5 year limited warranty, and CARB compliant for those in the People's Republic of California. MGF 447192 for the front. MGF 447225 for the rear. My catalyst monitoring system says OK and no P0420 to be found. Seems to be working for now.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Thanks to OP for the info. That O ring doesn't last very long. Only 270K miles! I had the oil cooler cleaned from all the gunk the previous owner managed to leave behind. Looking to take this rig to 500K and now I'm confident it can.

Went from green that the PO of my truck had put in to toyota spec, and getting the truck to blow hot air hasn't been quicker. The difference was night and day.
