the obd port is always a 12v constant , only way for that to control anything is if it communicates with the can-bus. use a hardwire kit, the acc hook up will tell the power to switch if off and on. ground to ground, and hot to a constant lead in your fuse box.

there are hard wire kits out there, what model do you have? did you turn off parking mode? does it have a voltage sense so you can set it high like 12.5v so you don't kill your battery.
