This. It's more of a plastic plate rather than a bag. And the entire frame it's mounted to, along with the paddle for the active headrest, sticks out right there. There are a few threads on this, some of which I started. I haven't found a solution yet.

Well, I went to the dealer and sat in an SR5 with cloth; A trail with cloth and an SR5P with softex and they all pretty much felt the same as mine. maybe a bit softer being brand new, but overall they certainly didn't make mine seem like there's something wrong.....other than the design itself...

I do notice it in the passenger seat, but to a much lesser degree than the driver seat. Possibly because there is no lumbar in the passenger seat. I have yet to make it to a dealer to sit in a another new 4runner. I know all of the seats are the same, but I would like to find the same model...

Thanks for the reply, I understand about the lumbar. I, am not a fan of lumbar in most vehicles. I am still having this issue even with the lumbar all of the way off. this is the bottom edge of the lumbar frame, so changing the lumbar makes no difference.

A friend of mine, who is heavier than you broke one of my kitchen chairs not that long ago... it happens and it was funny. He felt bad though. I guess the next stop would be the dealer to look at another 4runner. I have to find out if something is wrong, or if it's just they way the seat is...
