5th Gen, Frame Mounted Hitch Receiver?

Mr. Seiner So what did you wind up doing? I have a 2012 4R SR5 with a stock frame receiver and a 19' Airstream TT with a GVWR of 4500#. The numbers are within factory towing specs, but I don't want the tail wagging the dog. My 2007 Tundra with Tow Package tows the TT like a dream, but lacks...

    Overhead eyeglass holder

Thanks. I noticed something shiny on the little latch path molded into the sunglasses cover. Probably clear grease. I swabbed it off using a Q-tip and tried closing the cover with the latch in different positions. I got the cover to latch flush with the console for the first time in a year.

    Overhead eyeglass holder

Floppy Sunglasses Holder Same problem with my 2012 T4R SR5. My local Toyota dealer can show me a $140.00 replacement part for the Trail crawl switch module that goes in place of the SR5 sunglasses holder, connectors extra, period. Camelback Toyota online parts will sell you the whole overhead...

BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 went on sale today

Yeah, and what's more, the tire mount pit man only inflated my new BFGs to 32.5-30.5-30.5-30.5 psi. They're all at 35 psi now. MPG should be slightly higher. I will probably try going up to 40 psi, but I don't want too stiff a ride.

BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 went on sale today

I got KO2s on my 2012 SR5 yesterday, replacing Dueler H/Ts after a major tire failure in the mountains. I don't know about greater rolling resistance with the KO2s--at least with load range Cs--the car showed a best ever 30 mpg!

Oil Change 5th Gen: How To- LOTS of PICS!

My "new" 2012 SR5 does not have the piece you refer to as the cover. It only has the splash plate. This should make my first oil change a little bit easier. Have you ever done yours with the front wheels up on ramps? If you have, does all the oil drain out OK? Any advice on this?

    4wd shift knob vibration (SR5/Trail)

OK. Nudging the TC lever to the right makes no diference. It springs right back. However, I drove 20 miles on a gravel road in 4H yesterday, and the lever seemed to vibrate less in 2H when I was through. Maybe the previous owner never used the system.

    4wd shift knob vibration (SR5/Trail)

My 2012 4Runner SR5 TC lever vibrates too. My old 2001 Jeep Cherokee with Command-Trac didn't vibrate much at all, so there is an adjustment curve. I'll try nudging the lever to the right, though.
