Truthfully I can't either. The harness is stretched ever so slightly here, but not to the point of pulling wires in two. My CEL has been on for a few months while I put off buying a new charcoal canister but by the time I noticed the broken wire (which, somehow, I didn't see a few months ago...

This plug goes to the pump module on the charcoal canister. It's attached to the body right above the spare tire. It's not too difficult to get to and now that I've extended the wires a bit, I hope I'll never have to deal with P2420 again.

Bringing this thread back from the dead, but I finally got around to fixing my P2420 tonight. I had a broken wire on the pump module as well. In my case, it was the blue wire with the white trace. It broke right at the plug, so I opted to buy a new plug and 7 new wires. This gave me the option...

Thanks for the welcome! I cleaned up a few things over the weekend. Taking the hydrocarbon filter out made a bigger difference than I expected it to. I ordered a couple of small interior trim pieces that I'm missing, and looking into all weather floormats. I was going to order Weathertech mats...
