Same here. 2.5" spacer lift, along with an RCI skid plate & Rocky Road sliders. Running Wrangler Duratracs in the stock size. Haven't noticed any significant decrease in gas mileage with these mods.

Um, no, that's one of the PLUGS he mentioned. If you're NOT carrying plugs in your off-road box, WE will be the folks laughing at you when you get a flat and wish that you did have them.

I also have Rocky Road sliders on our 2014 TE with KDSS. The right side install was super-easy. The left side took quite a bit longer as there is one bracket that interferes slightly with the KDSS piping, requiring the removal of the clamp bolts on the pipes; some slight tweaking of the pipes...

That's exactly what I did on my '14 TE and because the holes don't line up perfectly, those self-tapping bolts actually seemed to work OK. They tightened up fine. I'll know how well they hold once I smack a few rocks with the sliders.

I'm glad to know that this burnt rubber smell a) is a common issue, and b) that it seems to NOT be a problem that needs fixing. I've only noticed it a couple of times on our '14 TE, and tried to see if anything was amiss, but never discovered the source of the smell. I'll stop worrying about...

Our Duratracs hum slightly at about 55-60 mph. At higher speeds, like 70-75, the hum disappears. The hum isn't obnoxious or overwhelming--it's just there. Not a problem.
