This was my primary motivation for buying my 2020 when I did rather than waiting for a 6th gen. I don't trust Toyota to build a vehicle that most of us would want. They seem to be completely tone deaf on what offroad SUV buyers want. And they seem to innovate at an absolutely snail's pace...

You mean 5th gen? There is no 6th gen yet. Here's my 5th gen (2020 Venture) sticker. 1,165lbs available payload. Note the yellow sticker to the left pertains to the Venture roof rack, which when used, will lower available payload by 48lbs.

I finally got around to taking the truck to Toyota. They said they adjusted the parking brake shoes in a bit and it feels much better now. Hopefully it stays adjusted this way. It actually holds on my steep driveway now.

This is probably my biggest gripe with the 4Runner as well. I guess that's saying something lol. I think the problem is a combination of the blade style dipstick, the narrow/long/winding tube that smears oil everywhere inside, and really thin/light colored oil. You really only get one shot...

I think the sticker is just wrong. Mine is the same way. They are the standard 17x7" TRD wheels.

Bummer. Dealing with stuff like that is why I ended up using a hood lip mount antenna for my ham radio. Running the wire through the firewall grommets seemed like a more weather proof option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you have bionic arms? Man I hated the oil filter location on the 3rd gen. Easily the most annoying oil change of any vehicle I've had. Strangely, the easiest is my E36 BMW M3. Cartridge style metal filter housing accessible from the engine bay with zero dripping mess.
