Does this timing belt kit look legit?

Yeah, it's hard to tell from those photos. The parts look like they have genuine packaging, but something seems sketchy with them. Like the boxes and labeling aren't quite right.

I'm just going to point out that this thread is just over 8 years old. It's in Grade 3 already.

    My 2003 Limited Bilstein Adventure

I actually heard back from them today and they did clarify that the 6112s do have a lifetime warranty. So, I'll have to go back to the dealer that sold them to me. I'm still disappointed that a stem snapped on the 5160. How does that happen?

    Aftermarket wheel bearing?

I guess I'm fortunate. My brother works for an auto parts store up here in the frozen tundra and they carry Koyo. With his discount, the bearing cost me around $75 and $18 at the u-wrench to use their press. Dealer wanted $375 for the bearing.

    Bilstein question

I had two separate salesmen at two different Toyota dealerships pronounce it "Bliss teen". Like, maybe read the word a little closer, boys...

    My 2003 Limited Bilstein Adventure

Update I thought I'd post an update on my Bilstein adventure. One year ago, I noticed a clunking noise from the rear end. I thought it might have been bushings because of the extreme cold we were having. Nope, it's a busted stem on the p/s 5160. Great. Dealer was no help with warranty...

    Rear bilstein 5100 install issues

I had to use needle nose Vise Grips to clamp the rubber bushings enough to start the threads on my 5160s. I got enough compression to get a few threads started.

    Aftermarket Radio Question

Is there a firmware update for it? I know that I have updated the firmware twice on my Pioneer. I imagine JVC has similar updates.

    MPG of a V8.. I know...

Same. I rarely crack 110 km/h. Funny, I get better mileage going to Edmonton than I do coming back. I think it's the extra 400 meters of elevation in Calgary. On the highway to BC, I've gotten as good as 11.4 liters/100 km (20.45 mpg). I have gotten about 575 km out of a tank of fuel (~360...

    JBL subwoofer "stock" box

Yep. It fits perfectly in the JBL box. There's a video on YouTube on how to do it, but the guys drill new holes. Absolutely unnecessary. All you have to do it rotate the sub so its holes like up with the factory ones. They also show you how to determine polarity, but like I said, the plug on my...

What bulbs for 2003 stock headlights?

I used to run PIAA Extreme White lights and quite like them. But I've switched to Hella Optilux for half the price and they seem to have a very similar brightness and whiteness.

    JBL subwoofer "stock" box

I went with this one: Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 8" Shallow-Mount Subwoofer. Cut the old plugs off. The wire at the bottom of the "T" is positive, the top is negative. Strip the ends of your wires. If I remember correctly, the terminals on the back of the Pioneer are push type. Clock it so the...

Quick change oil shop broke my airbox lid.

This doesn't seem like your responsibility. This is on their shoulders to find you one.

    Aftermarket Stereo

I believe that the PAC RadioPRO does turn on the diversity amp. I have one in my 2003 and I was getting nothing from the AM radio until I did the latest firmware update which, according to PAC, fixed an issue with the diversity amp turn on. It does the JBL amp turn on plus steering wheel...
